Chevron plans $1.4B Mississippi plant.  Renfroe said the new plant will benefit the Coast with about 1,000 construction jobs and 20 permanent positions and also by purchasing products from local businesses

Economic development is a marathon. It’s not a sprint.  That was the general theme of Gov. Haley Barbour’s speech at the Mississippi Economic Development Council’s Winter Meeting Thursday morning at the Hilton in Jackson.
